I just came across this fantastic French online boutique called Cerise sur la Deco. The site is quite well designed (in my favourite colours cerise pink and brown!), but it’s the products that are really really interesting… so clever and original… and I must admit I’ve never seen some of these items before and that says something as I spend half my life browsing the internet, trawling through trade exhibitions and meeting suppliers…

I absolutely love this kitchen clock – it’s such a great idea, simple yet ingenious.

These chairs are quite similar to our own Trendy curved chairs, really beautifully designed but just a bit more cheeky! I think it would be too much to have 6 or 8 of them as dining chairs, but they could be used very nicely as standalone items in a corner of the living room or something…

I’m not sure if I should be calling them gun candle holders, but that is what they look like to me… I guess the intention was to add a handle to the traditional candle stick so that it can be moved around but the end result is a kind of gun-shape isn’t it?

At 195 euros, it’s quite a lot more than I (or anyone I would imagine besides the CEO of Merrill Lynch who spent something crazy like $2000 on a wastepaper bin) would want to spend on a clock, but to be fair, it isn’t any old clock… Made out of cotton and available in black, red and cream, and with a diameter of 50cm, it resembles a floor cushion more than a clock! It is also washable which helps but I can’t help thinking that it wouldn’t really last very long…
