Making an Entrance!

April 21st, 2009

The hallway is the first thing a person sees upon entering your home- so make a lasting impression and create a welcoming feature for your family and guests!  Below are some of my favourite ideas….

hallway1

cushions Laura Ashley, side table The French Bedroom Company, antique mirror James Worrall, rug Kelaty

Larger, more robust hooks can be good for holding handbags too…

cloakroom1

storage baskets find similar at Coco Målé, hooks The Old Cinema , cushions Romo

Cover an unsightly radiator and create an attractive feature in its place. Soft lighting creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere…

The stone flooring, below, complements the overall antique feel of this entrance. Also great for those who forget to wipe their muddy boots!

Storage baskets that are made of natural fibers are still the best in my honest opinion. :
