Transform a room instantly with the introduction of a rug.  But not just any old rug!  Before selecting a design you like, first consider the colours and theme within the room and the size of the floor space.  Select a rug which will compliment the accent colours in the room.  Lighter colours can make a room look bigger, whereas deeper shades can make spaces appear smaller and claustrophobic. The quality of the rug is an important factor- a higher price tends to mean better quality and look for one which is woven as it will be more durable.  A rug can add a touch of cosiness and warmth to a wooden floor.

 And finally, the abstract impression of a rug painted directly onto the concrete floor.  I love the idea and think the subtle colour is ideal, however I would like to see a bit of colour in the rest of the room.
