Before the big 3-0 (yikes!!)

October 18th, 2009

Katie’s inspired me to do my own task list, so Katie you’re one  step closer to crossing-off your number 52!!  Why is it that we like to do these things… is it because it makes us feel organised / more in control / better focused?  Or maybe we just enjoy talking about ourselves?!  Whatever the reason, I found it very inspiring to read Katie’s and Louise’s and if we all know eachothers, perhaps we’ll feel more pressure to get things done, right?!  Plus, I’ve read somewhere that even writing a little daily task list can help to relieve stress, as it’s apparantly therapeutic to cross things off!

The revised mission: complete 30 tasks before I reach 30 (I’m 26 now)

Start date: 19th October 2009  Finish date: 9th August 2013

  1. Dedicate at least two years to helping the parents make their B&B in Scotland a huge success
  2. Put a deposit down on a house
  3. Make solid plans to emigrate to America or Canada in the near future
  4. Work as a Buyer for a big fashion company
  5. Start my own business and fashion blog
  6. Take Ashley to New York at Christmas time
  7. Finally get round to buying an i-phone
  8. Lose at least a stone- get my body back in shape and be healthier
  9. Try pilates
  10. Have a sausage dog or chiwawa… or both!
  11. Seriously consider botox, collagen and laser eye-treatment
  12. Volunteer to help out at an animal sanctuary on a regular basis
  13. Pay off my credit cards (sigh!)
  14. Get a spray tan once a month and stop going on the sunbed
  15. Visit my friends in Newcastle and Manchester more often
  16. Go to a gym class at least twice a week
  17. Take my grandma out for day trips at least twice a week
  18. Learn to DJ properly
  19. Get another tattoo
  20. See Beyonce in concert
  21. Take over the business for a week so the parents can go on holiday
  22. Go to Dubai with Ashley
  23. Start each day with the aim of being as productive as possible
  24. Be able to read French with ease or understand spoken
  25. Plan to get married in New York and design my own wedding dress
  26. Have my hen party in Ibiza
  27. Start a masters degree
  28. Start pole dancing again and keep it up
  29. Make Ashley a romantic meal once a week and spend quality time together
  30. Inspire 5 people to create 30 things to do before they’re 30

I’m not sure if I feel better for writing this out or panicky in case I don’t manage to get some things done!  One thing I do know though, is that life is full of surprises so who knows what the future holds??…
