Treats for the home

2
August 4th, 2010

Quality often comes with a price and the luxury goods featured on couturelab.com are no exception.  Founder Carmen Busquets searches the world for unique, hard-to-find pieces, many of which are painstakingly handcrafted.  Carmen is also co-founder of Net-a-porter.com, so she knows a thing or two about luxury!

I’ve posted some of my favourite home accessories below:

Glassware by Artel

I wanted to make couturelab.com our Shop of the Week mainly because the company supports fair trade and also ’gives back’ by donating to charity.

It’s all about the stories behind each product- customers can not only learn about the heritage but also fall in love and own a piece of it… what could be more fabulous?!

Placemats, hand printed by Mali tribes

Hand embroidered cushion, made by women artists working in deprived areas of Africa

Fantastic effort going on at CoutureLab to support artisans around the world. Bravo to you for recognizing what they do which does make a difference.
