Inspirational exteriors! Summer Sunshine
As the weather gets warmer and the nights longer, there’s nothing more pleasant than having friends round for a garden party! Part of the fun is preparing your garden- you can really let your imagination run wild when outdoors. After all, there are no carpets to stain, no wallpaper to clash with and no decor to compliment. A blank canvas!

I love the mix-match of chairs and cushions, above- it gives a less formal feel to the setting and is more carefree, as such an occasion should be. How lovely is the distressed blue bench?

The evening doesn’t need to draw to an end just because the sunlight has. Use pretty outdoor lights to create a warm glow. Try lighting citrus candles to help to deter those cheeky wasps and midges- don’t let them ruin your evening!

Bunting is a quick and easy way to get your garden party-ready. I particularly like this bunting, above- the prints are so cute.

As ever I want everyone thinking ‘outside the box’ when it comes to decor- be creative! Who says cake stands are just for cakes? Have fun!

Thank goodness for glamping!
If you favour your home comforts like I do, chances are that the mere mention of camping sends a shiver down your spine.
But what if I were to tell you of a campsite where the tents are larger than most hotel suites, with wooden floors, rugs, wood burners, toilets and shower facilities?!
Nestled in the picturesque surroundings of the Yorkshire countryside and only a stone’s throw from the city of York, Jolly Days luxury camping takes traditional camping to a whole new level- glamping!
Owners Caroline Van Outersterp and her husband Christian successfully create that sought-after home-from-home feel, with luxury furnishings and stylish vintage decor. Doesn’t it look fresh and inviting?
Be close to nature without sacrificing your home comforts!

Owls with Attitude!
Just spotted these owls over on Sunday Times columnist, India Knight ‘s blog and had to share the image with you! How fantastic do they look? Unfortunately no one is sure where this is located- any ideas?

Bag a bit of colour
How cute are these fair trade recycled rice bags? I just love the colours- enough to brighten any window sill on even the dullest of days. Of course you can fill the little bags with whatever you like but I think they’d look really attractive placed together as plant pots. Each design is unique and they really catch the eye!
