Places I must visit: Singapore
Singapore looks to be a really vibrant and colourful city, full of fun things to do. The population consists of 78% Chinese, 15% Malay and 6.5% Indian, providing the city with an interesting mix of ethnic groups who possess their own pride in cultures, traditions and beliefs. To me, that’s what travel is all about- experiencing different cultures.

The New Majestic Hotel located in Chinatown has 30 rooms designed individually by Singaporean artists- the perfect representation of true Singaporean style! The decor is very modern and tasteful, designed with the comfort of the guest in mind…

Places I must visit: Amsterdam
Tulips, windmills, bicycles, clogs… these are some of the things which may pop into your head when someone mentions The Netherlands. But Amsterdam has so much more to offer! Beautiful canals, a buzzing social scene and stunning scenery all help to put Amsterdam high on my list of places to visit. Katie has just been on a business trip and it’s made me realise how much I want to go…

The Dutch capital has a compact layout with lots of little cobbled streets to explore. The tall colourful gabled houses provide a stunning backdrop to the canals.

Aside from the Red Light District, Amsterdam is known by many for its coffee shops (above), which are legally allowed to sell up to 5 grams of marijuana to any one customer.

Places I must visit: Iran
Okay so the middle east isn’t the safest of holiday destinations to choose at the moment but I wanted to share these beautiful images with you! When I was a young child we lived in Jubail, as my parents both had jobs there. Of course, religion is taken very seriously over there and I remember the sound of prayer time in the local mosque waking me up every night! Some of the mosques are amazing pieces of architecture…

Places I must visit: India
The closest I’ve ever been to India is eating a korma (and that probably wasn’t even that authentic!) but I’d love to go to one of the markets and be surrounded by traditional Indian craftsmanship. The colourful fabrics, intricate patterns and great attention to detail make their products so appealing. There really is nothing like handmade.

Indian interior style is as elaborate as their crafts- the use of intricate pattern and strong colour provides endless inspiration…

Although bright, these cushions, above, are in no way garish. Mix and match colours and textures sympathetically for an exotic result. I like the uniformity of the picture frames, it helps to keep the room sophisticated rather than childlike.

Places I must visit: Santorini, Greece
Santorini Island in Greece boasts some of the most spectacular sunsets in the world. That alone, as well as the beautiful weather, relaxed lifestyle, delicious food and stunning scenery, puts it high on my ‘to visit’ list!

The Aenaon Villas are idyllically located on the top of a steep slope in Imerovigli village, where you can enjoy wonderful views to the sea, the volcano and the caldera. In fact Santorini is essentially what remains of an enormous volcanic explosion!

The crisp white decor gives the interior a fresh, modern feel, whilst the solid wood flooring adds added style and sophistication. I love the cave-like architecture. The perfect retreat when you need a break from the hot sunshine.

Interesting staircase design- pleasing to the eye

Beautiful views through the arch window- and how comfy does that couch look??!!
