Draw some couture
I’ve just been looking at the News From Fashion website, where Angéline Mélin shares her vision of fashion and lifestyle through her daily illustrations. I love how creatively-minded she is and how she is able to so easily express her thoughts and feelings through drawing.

Angéline Mélin drew the cute girl to the top right of our blog… she is so talented! Looking at her drawings made me want to dig my old ones out from college and Uni… I wish I was in a job now where I could draw all the time. I drew the collection below based on a 50′s American diner theme. I’m not quite as good as Angéline, particularly when it comes to drawing faces, I’ve always struggled with that part!

Future Perfect
I challenge you not to find at least one aspect of this house that you love!
Founder of Williamsburg design and furniture shops the Future Perfect and A&G Merch, David Alhadeff, lives in a renovated Brooklyn warehouse where his love of eclectic design is reflected throughout the rooms.

Most peoples’ pet hate is pipes showing on the wall- we always want to disguise them in some way. But here they compliment the feel of the converted warehouse, retaining that industrial feel. Very cool!

Bare stone walls- are they cosy enough for the bedroom?

Wow! David’s eclectic style really shines through in the kitchen. Is it too much? I quite like it actually! The silvers and greys bring the room right up-to-date.

There’s just the perfect balance of decor on the wall here; any more and the result would have looked too cluttered. Add different textures and shapes to add interest.
