Couture furniture
Jean Paul Gaultier and furniture brand Roche Bobois have joined forces to create a fantastic couture furniture collection and I am loving the sofa!
The collection includes a paravent bed, with an upholstered headboard and the Mah Jong modular sofa, upholstered by Jean Paul Gaultier and designed by Hans Hopfer.

The intricate prints and nautical vibes just scream Gaultier. Fun but classy, this collection suggests you love style but don’t take yourself too seriously. With so much going on it may be wise to keep the surrounding space simple and clean for maximum impact.
What do you think, is it just nice too look at but too much to live with?

Super Scandinavian style
Scandinavian design is quite hard to define, yet it has it’s own distinctive look. It’s modern, innovative and colourful, whilst also being retro, traditional and folksy.

It’s definitely one of my favourite styles at the moment. Why not add a burst of colour or a bold pattern to your home with some scatter cushions, a rug or a throw?
These are a few of my favourite Scandinavian home accessories on the market at the moment… so much to choose from! Think snuggly, chunky knits, warm log cabins and outdoor hot tubs. Heaven!

The power of wallpaper
I just can’t get enough of bold, patterned wallpaper at the moment. If you want to make a strong statement which has the ‘wow’ factor, this is definitely the way to go. A feature wall can transform your home in an instant without breaking the bank.

So what are we all waiting for? Are people a little apprehensive to take the plunge, possibly because on the roll, the colours can look quite scary and garish?? As these images below show, bright colour and bold pattern can look stunning. Let’s get out of our comfort zone and try something new!

Take a look at Wallpower Mini too, the collection has been designed especially for your little ones!

I love how the furniture has been painted to match the striped wallpaper, what a funky idea! Plus this brings the retro cupboard bang up-to-date without having to spend a lot.
Reflect the colours of the wallpaper in the cushions and other accessories too, to bring the whole look together.

Hollywood Glamour
This fantastic Hollywood guest house belongs to talented interior designer, Mary McDonald. Isn’t it truly gorgeous? This has to be one of my favourites. I’m really into my stripes at the moment; the wallpaper in the image below looks so sophisticated. I love Mary’s great attention to detail, for example where the pink colour of the stripe is reflected in the cushion pattern and again in the flowers, bringing everything together nicely.

She seems to have a good eye for colour and is an expert on introducing bright shades without the overall result being ‘OTT’ or brash. The strong, clean lines and large, bold shapes make this a very modern home.

Looking at her stylish portfolio, I’d be more than happy to let Mary loose in my home to work her magic!
