Cool US jewellery designer alert guys!  They’ve had lots of attention from the press over the years with their fabulous expandable bangles, embellished hoops, and charm necklaces.  Alex and Ani is a huge hit in America and word is trickling through to the UK, with fans including Sandra Bullock and Jessica Simpson. 

You can even custom design your own bracelet at the Bangle Bar!

Alex and Ali’s mission is to “design products that adorn the body, enlighten the mind, and empower the spirit”.

Owner and designer Carolyn Rafaelian also works closely with charitable organisations, creating unique jewellery to raise money through Charity By Design.  I think this is a fabulous idea!  Usually I’m not too keen on designs for charity (they tend to be  bit, well, dodgy) and I purchase the item purely to support the cause but I’m really lusting after these- particularly the Hiati Relief bangle. 100 percent of the proceeds are being donated to Project USA to help with efforts to aid those who fell victim to the devastation in Haiti.
