Future Perfect
I challenge you not to find at least one aspect of this house that you love!
Founder of Williamsburg design and furniture shops the Future Perfect and A&G Merch, David Alhadeff, lives in a renovated Brooklyn warehouse where his love of eclectic design is reflected throughout the rooms.

Most peoples’ pet hate is pipes showing on the wall- we always want to disguise them in some way. But here they compliment the feel of the converted warehouse, retaining that industrial feel. Very cool!

Bare stone walls- are they cosy enough for the bedroom?

Wow! David’s eclectic style really shines through in the kitchen. Is it too much? I quite like it actually! The silvers and greys bring the room right up-to-date.

There’s just the perfect balance of decor on the wall here; any more and the result would have looked too cluttered. Add different textures and shapes to add interest.

Shop of the Week- Velvet Brown
Velvet Brown was established in 2007 by sisters Heather Harris and Hazel Ball, born out of ‘a passion for stylish and elegant home accessories’.
It’s special items such as these which turn your house into a home. Their focus is country/New England style, which reminds me of our cottage we lived in when I was little.
My favourite is the earring stand- a must for all us ladies!

ABC wall sticker, £30.50
I like the style and overall effect of the wall stickers above, but i think I’d prefer something other than ‘ABC’. Stunning colour pallet!

stoneware coffee beaker, £23.99

vintage style wall mirror, £24.95

Gorgeous colours! rustic timber frames, £40 approx.

Wacky wallcoverings!
Graham and Brown stock fabulous patterned papers and wallcovering effects- why choose magnolia when you could achieve a look like this?! It might seem a little daunting to actually use such striking decor, and you need to assess whether you are the kind of person who is likely to get bored of the prominent pattern. It might look great at the time, but how about 6 months down the line? I say stick to having a feature wall, or using wall stickers which can be changed as often as your mood…

loving this strong, retro print above!

these flowers would look stunning in any room
