Natural luxuries
I go through phases of liking things and at the moment I have a particular interest in homemade bathing products. They smell divine! Good companies seem few and far between but I found EcoCentric, a one-stop shop for gorgeous eco homewares. I’m absolutely loving the look of their organic cosmetics and I’m sure you will too. The gift sets would make an extra special present for a friend (erm, or yourself!!)…

Organic soap gift box (set of 4 soaps) , £13.99

Let’s Go Eco
It’s time we all did our bit towards helping the environment. After all, every little helps! And what better place to start than in the home? Enter Nigel’s Eco Store. With so many fabulous environmentally friendly products to chose from, you’ll be hard-pushed not to find something you like.
Nigel says, “In our searches for new eco products to add to our range, we love things that use less energy, re-use materials, don’t pollute, or that are natural and organic, and compared to non-eco alternatives, do the same job, and look and feel just as great – or better!” Who can argue with that?
Now I know it isn’t the present someone dreams of, however I must admit to buying my mum a Compost Crock. Forever sick of having to look at food waste in an ice cream container on the kitchen worktop (this is where my mum would store it until eventually taking it outside to the compost bin), I just had to find an alternative. That is where the Compost Crock came in. Waste can be stored temporarily in this attractive container before being emptied outside. And the filter inside is great for clearing those pongy smells. Simple, but oh so practical!
