I admire The Handpicked Collection because they really engage with the customer and have an interesting array of home accessories on offer.  Their website is very user friendly and each item has been selected, inspected and passed my a member of the team.  As we know at Coco Målé, it’s all of these little extras that make a big difference.  The Handpicked Collection was this year’s Sheer Luxe 2010 Online shopping Awards winner- well done guys!

There are lots of unique gift ideas like this slate cheeseboard below, which saves you having to explain which cheeses are which each time!  It’s not too early to start your Christmas shopping…

Natural slate cheeseboard, £14.95

Scarlett Willow French Kiss glass platter, £27.95

Coffee scoop and Clip, £5.95

Natural slate coasters, £19.95

This is pretty cool and would look great on your desk top- Pencil sharpener desk tidy, £14.95

Spotty Button is an online boutique packed full of interesting home accessories and gift ideas.  There’s lots of inspiration for that perfect gift for the person who has everything… don’t forget it’s only about 8 weeks until Christmas Day!  I always like to read a little about the founder of a company but I can’t seem to find any background information on the website.  Still, it’s definitely worth a look!

Below are a selection of my favourite items…

Regency cake stand, £27.95

Mother Of Pearl knob, £6.50

Vintage dressing table mirror, £41.75

Red Spotty Heart hot water bottle, £9.95

Quality often comes with a price and the luxury goods featured on couturelab.com are no exception.  Founder Carmen Busquets searches the world for unique, hard-to-find pieces, many of which are painstakingly handcrafted.  Carmen is also co-founder of Net-a-porter.com, so she knows a thing or two about luxury!

I’ve posted some of my favourite home accessories below:

Glassware by Artel

I wanted to make couturelab.com our Shop of the Week mainly because the company supports fair trade and also ’gives back’ by donating to charity.

It’s all about the stories behind each product- customers can not only learn about the heritage but also fall in love and own a piece of it… what could be more fabulous?!
