Folklore of the world
As you know I’m a sucker for anything that little bit different, and I’m excited to share this delightful company with you all! The products are so pretty and the website has a very personal, friendly and down-to-earth feel about it.
Gudrun Sjödén manufactures colourful homeware and clothing using natural materials, based on beautiful Scandinavian design tradition. Founded in 1976 in Regeringsgatan, Stockholm, the company has become a huge success, with boutiques dotted all around the country.
From Africa to Usbekistan, Sjödén travels the world visiting suppliers and drawing inspiration for future collections. Their travel experiences are even shared online!
” Home, Autumn 2009 is a fabulous mix of spots, hand-embroidery and block-prints – a rich, colourful collection… “
