Inspirational interiors: Bright and airy Swedish apartment

3
March 7th, 2011

When you’ve limited space it’s best to keep the ‘shell’ of your home a neutral colour and to have an open-plan layout where possible, to give the illusion of a larger area.  This gorgeous Swedish apartment proves that white can be interesting!  I could move in straight away…

Large windows let-in lots of natural light which reflects off the white interior, giving a spacious and airy feel.

Carefully-placed furniture and home accessories allows the sitting room and dining area to be located in the same room.

Use every nook and cranny effectively- add a few shelves for extra storage.

Wow- this modern bedroom is just stunning isn’t it?!

I’m not sure how I would feel about the washing machine being in the bathroom- is it just me or is that a little strange?!

We’re always looking to the past for inspiration but what about the here and now?  Modern home accessories can be very striking, with their clean lines, bold colours and futuristic shapes.

I do love the uncluttered look but it’s just something I could never achieve unless I had oodles of storage space!
