Treats for the home
Quality often comes with a price and the luxury goods featured on couturelab.com are no exception. Founder Carmen Busquets searches the world for unique, hard-to-find pieces, many of which are painstakingly handcrafted. Carmen is also co-founder of Net-a-porter.com, so she knows a thing or two about luxury!
I’ve posted some of my favourite home accessories below:

Glassware by Artel
I wanted to make couturelab.com our Shop of the Week mainly because the company supports fair trade and also ’gives back’ by donating to charity.
It’s all about the stories behind each product- customers can not only learn about the heritage but also fall in love and own a piece of it… what could be more fabulous?!

Shop of the Week- Niki Jones
Niki Jones‘ online homeware store is all about adding a little individuality to your home. All pieces have been carefully handcrafted, supporting traditional manufacturing techniques. As a result, the collection has a strong Indian feel throughout, with intricate patterns, striking bursts of colour and elaborate embellishment.
Mix these decorative touches with charcoal greys for a more masculine feel…

“ Having moved out of London I became aware that there was a real lack of choice if you were looking for something a bit different and special. I wanted to create a collection that celebrated the handmade but also embraced the far reaching capabilities of the web. Mixing traditional craft with cutting edge web technology.” – Niki Jones

Picture Perfect
I’m not sure if it’s the way the colours in the images compliment the soft-green wall, the fact I’ve never seen anything quite like it before, or that it has a cool art deco feel… whatever the reason, I just love this photo frame!

Perfect prints
I’ve chosen a ‘textile designer of the week’ this week rather than a company, just because I couldn’t wait to show you these stunning prints!
Ella Peters is an award-winning textile designer specialising in home accessories and furnishing fabrics to commission. Inspired by the beauty of nature, she takes a fresh approach to textiles with unique colour combinations and imagery. I’m loving the dreamy colours, the pureness of the designs and the modern, contemporary feel.

Making showering more fun!
I’ve just come across Burke Decor, an online homeware boutique based in the US… but fear not everyone, as they ship internationally! Owner Erin Burke created the company in September 2007, which sells gorgeous homeware at affordable prices. My favourites are the funky shower curtains, below- guaranteed to make showering that little more exciting!
