Urban sophistication
This tranquil tenth-floor warehouse apartment located in Cape Town, South Africa, is the home of Brit-born fashion and interiors photographer Micky Hoyle.

Using the sea and mountains as inspiration, Hoyle has created a relaxing ambience with a neutral colour pallet and natural materials. The 200sqm living area is all open plan, which compliments the relaxed, laid-back surroundings.

I love this seating area!

Modern technology is subtly incorporated amongst the home accessories so as not to detract from the natural look of the decor.

What do you think of the use of colour, or lack of? I like the calming effect the gentle hues have, although I would like to see a few accents of colour dotted around. Perhaps colour just doesn’t fit in a place such as this? Lovely all the same!

Todd Oldham ‘wows’ with colour!
This has got to be one of the most colourful interiors I’ve ever seen! Even I would consider this to be a little over-the-top, however we can all take a little inspiration from the images and adapt it to suit our own taste and home.
Texas man Todd Oldham began designing his own successful clothing line in 1989. He has since designed a hotel in Miami, three homeware lines and a nightclub in Manhattan. He later began his career in photography in 1998… what a creative man!
His creativeness is clearly reflected in his beautiful country home, below.

Photoshoot for our new catalogue
We’re doing our photoshoot for our 2009 catalogue tomorrow and I’m super excited as we’ve hired professional stylist Selina Lake and photographer Sussie Bell. I haven’t met either of them in person but they sound lovely and the work they’ve done in the past is absolutely beautiful! They shoot for major magazines and catalogues in the UK so it’s quite a privilege for us and I just can’t wait to see the images they’ll take of our products!
Here is some eye candy of Sussie’s recent work:

and here is some of Selina’s work!

Selina has also published a best- selling book…
