Novel storage ideas
In a time of economic turndown and unrest, the old saying ’make do and mend’ seems more appropriate than ever. Most of us are watching our pennies and thinking twice about when we buy. In a way we are almost forced into thinking more creatively, making do with what we have and fixing a problem ourselves.
Storage ideas always interest me because as you know I have so many ‘things’ and it’s a daily battle to keep it all organised and accessible!
Rather than leaving post lying around here there and everywhere, keep it all together. This old shutter, above, is the perfect storage solution!

Do you have lots of old books which you want to keep rather than give away? I love this side table, above. I think the ‘table top’ is made using a floating shelf? What a great idea! Very retro-looking.

This is brilliant- your whole office neatly tucked away in a fitted wardrobe!!

There’s no reason why books should take up valuable storage space

Three-in-one furniture!
I like the modern idea of buying items with more than one function. Not only does it save on space but also money! Here is a simple sofa, bed and table all in one. The storage shelf with its integrated leather cover can even be used as a limited workspace – there is certainly room for a laptop here. Genius!
