Shabby Chic at its best
Shop of the week this week is going to The Orchard based in Leicester, for its fabulous selection of vintage home accessories and shabby chic furniture.

vintage glass door knobs, £6.75 each
The idea of mixing shabby chic furniture with carefully selected vintage finds really appeals to me- not only because the look can be so girly and pretty but also because I like to imagine the history behind the vintage pieces. It’s like pretending to be a different person in another era!

embossed ceramic cake stand, £25.50
heart storage seat, £150
secretary desk, £300

The future’s bright for Rice…
Founded in 1998 and based in Denmark, Rice sells colourful, quirky home accessories both online and on the high street. I came across some of their lifestyle images on Flickr and the colours really caught my eye!

These products really lift my spirits and make me smile. The colours are so cheerful- you’d never have a dull day if you lived in a house that looked like this! It’s kind of chabby chic-meets barbie-meets-Kath Kidson, don’t you think?

Located in southern Bali, The Shaba is a luxurious colonial-mansion hotel with just three rooms, so your gauranteed first class service. What caught my eye is the stunning vintage/shabby chic decor and unique styling. Isn’t it pretty? Although I’m not sure this room would be a favourite with the men!

Above: just enough purple to set the mood. Love the hanging bedside lights!

Just love the bathroom, so luxurious… and personalised to perfection for us girlies!
