Places I must visit: Santorini, Greece
Santorini Island in Greece boasts some of the most spectacular sunsets in the world. That alone, as well as the beautiful weather, relaxed lifestyle, delicious food and stunning scenery, puts it high on my ‘to visit’ list!

The Aenaon Villas are idyllically located on the top of a steep slope in Imerovigli village, where you can enjoy wonderful views to the sea, the volcano and the caldera. In fact Santorini is essentially what remains of an enormous volcanic explosion!

The crisp white decor gives the interior a fresh, modern feel, whilst the solid wood flooring adds added style and sophistication. I love the cave-like architecture. The perfect retreat when you need a break from the hot sunshine.

Interesting staircase design- pleasing to the eye

Beautiful views through the arch window- and how comfy does that couch look??!!

Places I must visit: the Faena Hotel in Argentina
The beauty of Buenos Aires is stunning with its broad tree lined avenues, beautiful parks and opulent architecture. However to be quite honest (and no offence intended, Argentina!) if I was staying at this amazing hotel I wouldn’t be too bothered where I was!
Transformed from an old grain warehouse, the Faena Hotel is the ultimate luxury retreat…
The dining room has a slight Alice in Wonderland theme- I read somewhere that inspiration came from the Queen of Hearts. Notice the unicorn heads on the wall… a fun but subtle twist.

Rooms are predominantly white with injections of rich reds. I think the red softens the white to make the decor feel more homely. On its own, white can be quite clinical and impersonal. The balance here is just right. I love the bedside lamps stemming from the headboard- who says beds have to be placed against the wall? If you have a large room, that is!

Just gorgeous!!

Inspirational Interiors: a modern converted loft
This modern loft conversion in Stockholm will set you back a cool £850 000! I was a little shocked at the price but it is very desirable and the space is deceptively large…

Open-plan is the way to go these days- maximise your living space!

I like the general layout but I’m itching to sort those books out! I would have liked to have seen a bit of colour with regards to the table and chairs too.

Although white is fabulously fresh and clean, do you think this is a bit overboard and too clinical or is it just me?

Absolutely stunning bathroom- I could spend hours in there! Very upmarket

Large windows give the illusion of space and really emphasise the high ceilings here. Natural light helps to create a tranquil setting. I love how the main light stems from the partitioning wall- something that little bit different

White works well…
I’m loving the style of Swedish photographer Mari Eriksson. The imagery really captures the essence of Swedish interior design and shows that white is far from boring! Fresh, understated and luxurious- I could happily live in a place like this…

The wonder of white
Who said white was boring?? I’d be more than happy to move straight in to this small but perfectly formed Swedish flat! The muted colour pallet is so serene. I’d be tempted to take the doors off and make it all open-plan, but then I’m not too sure if I could sleep without a door on in the bedroom!

I like the idea of resting picture frames against the wall on a shelf…

delightful in the summer months…
